Bleeding Hearts

Earth's climate has been in a state of continuous change since the beginning of time. Ice ages have come and gone - our world has heated and cooled several times during the short period of human history - all caused perhaps by eccentricities in the planet's orbit and rotation, or perhaps the perambulations of the sun around its gravitational axis.

Whilst the tiny amount of CO2 in the atmosphere released as a result of human activities continues to rise, global temperatures have fallen since 2002, Arctic sea ice has recovered from last year's melt and Antarctic sea ice coverage is significantly greater than average. Satellite measurements of the oceans show they are cooling and sea levels are falling, whilst measurements at Mauna Loa observatory reveal a drop in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere during the last six months.

None of the computer models used to support the claims of the climate alarmists can account for any of the above - they cannot be relied upon.

The Moche people of South America once ripped out the beating hearts of thousands of victims as a sacrifice to their weather gods in a futile attempt to prevent drenching rains brought to their lands by extreme El Nino events.

The Rudd government warns of imminent economic recession but is still blindly determined to force us to make equally pointless sacrifices by ripping out the faltering heart of Australia's economy with its emissions trading scam.
